Narrative
Released from heat treatment quarantine on 27/04/01. Originally from INRA France it was requested because it is a parents of recombinant inbred lines, used for gene mapping purposes. The line is a homozygous inbred line.DZA315.16 was descended from a natural Algerian population. DZA315 is the population, 16 is the particular line. This line has different developmental, morphological and symbiotic characteristics. DZA315.16 has infrequent and randomly distributed spots and pods coiled clockwise which are shorter and smaller. See Thoquet et al., The molecular genetic linkage map of the model legume Medicago truncatula: an essential tool for comparative legume genomics and the isolation of agronomically important genes. BMC Plant Biol. 2002;2(1):1. PMID: 11825338 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher].
