Narrative
Intro. as H.unisiliquosa. Reidentified in 1997 by Per lassen (Per.Lassen@botmus.lu.se). Hippocrepis biflora Sprengal, are strictly Mediterranean species that have almost always been called unisiliquosa, but are very distict from the true h. unisiliquosa ssp. bisiliqua (sub-saharo-sindian). In fact, H. biflora and H. unisisiquosa are parallel forms, with reduced peduncles and 1-2(-3)- flowered umbels, more closely related to H. mulisiliquosa and H. ciliata respectively, than to each other
