"Example of Trautvetter's alfalfa. Flowers blue, pods sickle-shape", (Collector Note). Somatic chromosome number=32; varigated light blue with 10% plants yellow-flowered and 10% plants green-flowerd (Prosser, WA, USA regeneration 2001). Pods sickle shaped, <.5 coil, 1-3mm wide(evaluation of original pod samples by S.L. Greene, 2001). Comment: Site specific GIS-derived monthly precipitation and temperature data, plus soil classification data available.
