Narrative
Germination 19% as at 2005. GES 1972-1973. Cancreep II lucerne was produced by Hinor Daday just before the aphids arrived. It was selected at Narrabri and Yanco, 30 years ago, to increase its tolerance to high temperatures over that in the original Cancreep. This line contains a fair bit of M.falcata germplasm, which John Irwin thinks may be a valuable addition to Australian breeding material. identified ssp. to nothosubsp. varia in 2005.
