  • replaces C. pubescens of most authors (auct. pl.), recently (1996) typified on element equal to C. schiedeana (Schltr.) R. J. Williams & R. J. Clements, if the former name is not conserved with a new type
  • since the conservation proposal to accomplish this has now been withdrawn, proving to be unpopular with some agricultural scientists, the name C. molle must now be taken up for centro
  • ascribed to "Mart. MSS." by Bentham
